You conveniently omit the radiation illnesses, the submarine tests (it takes imagination to think immense quantities of tnt were stuck under the ocean crust) and base your claims on shallow interpretation of pictures and literature. When the tzar bomb was dropped, window shutters in Finland, thousands of miles away, were damaged. On the Bikini atoll, fruits are still radioactive today.
If nuclear energy exists, it is obviously possible to release the energy for destructive purposes. I agree there is much fear-mongering used for political purposes, though.
I think that nuclear bombs emit type gamma radiation mostly, that is not persistent like radioactive matter that was spread around Chernobyl. So fruits around a nuclear blast have no reason to be radioactive anyway. In other words you are propaganda tool.
